Job Summary
Insider Threat Analyst in the Australian Public Sector (Canberra) analyzes customer activity data to identify threat-related events and patterns, coordinates with customers to focus investigations, delivers insights via reports with metrics and visualizations, develops remediation recommendations, maintains client privacy and objectivity, and contributes to DTEX platform enhancements. Roles include Tier 1-2 customer support, coordination with engineering for Tier 3 issues, providing feedback on service improvements, R&D efforts for platform accuracy and user experience, and participation in pre-sales/renewal engagements. Strong analytical, communication, and data-analysis skills are required; security clearance (NV1) is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, operations, or analytics
- Experience in security related investigations strongly preferred
- Active Australia Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance in good standing required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex multivariate problems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- UEBA skills and understanding of behavioral baselines and anomaly detections
- Experience with SIEM or log analysis software (desirable)
- Experience with systems administration, scripting in Linux/Windows (PowerShell or Python) desirable
- Experience with pre-sales and renewal engagements (desirable)
