Job Summary
Lead Integration & Test (I&T) Aeronautical Engineer on the Sentinel Program in Launch Systems, based on-site in Chandler, AZ. Responsible for leading hands-on mechanical integration, developing assembly/test procedures for launch vehicle systems, and defining concepts of operations for vehicle assembly and testing. Manages planning and scheduling of day-to-day tasks, documents hardware discrepancies and drives root-cause and corrective actions, and mentors junior engineers. Frequent collaboration with team leadership, transferring knowledge to engineers, and traveling 10-20% for launch campaigns. Requires active Secret-level security clearance, extensive aerospace experience, and the ability to work in a high-hazard environment with awareness of propulsive devices, pressurized systems, and high voltage systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government security clearance of Secret or above
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering or qualifying discipline (12 years) or Master of Science in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering or qualifying discipline (10 years)
- Experience leading/training other engineers and teams
- Extensive hands-on mechanical integration experience
- Ability to travel 10-20%
- Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines including MES or similar digital work instruction platforms
- Experience with launch campaigns and operating hazards (propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, high voltage)
- Ability to innovate and lead digital transformation efforts
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Chandler, AZ
- U.S. citizenship required for government clearance
- Prior launch campaign experience preferred
