Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and install instrument and electrical systems from wellhead through transmission delivery points, including compressor controls, medium voltage distribution, process controllers, RTUs, and analyzers. Program PLCs and work with projects and area teams to provide input on new designs and installations. Perform on-call rotations as required. Requires lawful US work authorization without sponsorship. Associates degree and 3-5 years of I&E experience highly desired. Wood is a global engineering and consultancy leader operating across energy and the built environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
  • Generalist background in I&E (electrical, SCADA, end devices, process & equipment controls, TCOM, instrument gas systems)
  • Familiarity with onshore field operations (well operations, compression, separation/dehydration equipment, etc.)
  • Must have good teamwork and leadership skills
  • Must be independent/ autonomous, requiring little day-to-day guidance
  • Strong Knowledge of NEC, API codes, I&E installation practices
  • Strong PC application skills (esp. Excel, Word)
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organization skills
  • Will be on callout schedule

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates Degree Instrumentation Electrician
  • 3-5 years' experience
