Job Summary
Execute planned work per the weekly schedule and handle reactive tasks to support manufacturing, ensuring preventive maintenance and calibrations are completed prior to due dates. Troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues while serving as a technical resource for manufacturing areas regarding maintenance and troubleshooting. Provide call-in coverage for emergency breakdowns and maintain accurate, legible work order documentation. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to GMP standards and supporting HSE goals. Perform duties in a manufacturing plant environment, including working with equipment up to 480V and handling 40 lb loads.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a journeyman level I&E technician or equivalent training
- Instrument and electrical aptitude
- Problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge and ability to install, maintain, and repair standard industrial instruments and electrical equipment such as transmitters, controllers, sensors, valves, motors, drives, etc.
- Qualified to work on equipment up to 480V
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Performs in a team based environment
- Willing to participate in team activities
- Serve in a leadership role
- Be receptive to receiving and giving constructive coaching to team members and management
- Able to handle change productively
- Able to handle other tasks as assigned
- High level of initiative
- Must be able to perform and review work in a manufacturing plant environment
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Must be able to wear appropriate clean room garments
- Must maintain clean room certification
- Must have the ability to lift 40 lb loads
- Must be able to respond to plant emergencies when required
