Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Instrumentation and Electrical systems, including automation equipment and PLCs, while assisting with construction, pipeline start-ups, and contractor oversight. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on field devices and monitoring systems, proactively identify developing field issues, and maintain accurate records in FIIX and Teams. Lead site inspections and electrical repairs for advanced levels, train junior technicians, and oversee site monitoring. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, operating a company vehicle for 70% of the time, with a 14 days on/14 days off rotation and company housing provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3+ years of industrial field electrician experience with troubleshooting & installation per NEC and state standards
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, and pull as part of routine tasks
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to enter confined spaces
- Ability to operate a company vehicle for at least 70% of the time
- Comfortable working around high-pressure pipelines, hazardous chemicals, and flammable products
- Comfortable with frequent exposure to high noise levels and adverse driving conditions
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours, including overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs
- Ability to stay composed and work under pressure, especially in emergencies
- Organized, dependable, and professional
- Strong sense of urgency and sound judgement
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school or 2-year degree
- Experience with automation, plant SCADA, and Wonderware (or comparable programs)
