Job Summary
Maintenance and repair specialist for Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) in a chemical processing plant, performing full range of instrument and electrical work, calibrations, and troubleshooting to keep systems in operation with minimal disruption. Leads tasks in a safe and efficient manner, collaborates with mechanics for mechanical repairs, plans materials and scheduling, and responds to off-shift calls. Requires experience with process instrumentation (pH, flow, temperature, pressure), transformers, switchgear, and process computer systems, and a strong emphasis on safety, TPM, GMP, and environmental stewardship.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Instrumentation/Electrical/Controls or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- PLC/DCS programming, hardware, software and wiring knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and update electrical prints
- SAP Experience / Knowledge (strongly preferred)
- Microsoft Office knowledge (strongly preferred)
- Strong safety attitude and mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work off-shift and rotating shifts
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E regulations
