Job Summary
Troubleshoot and maintain SCADA field hardware, communications, and related software while performing installation, calibration, and repairs of instrument, communication, and electrical equipment. Execute planned maintenance checks, submit reports, and minimize downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance. Install and troubleshoot PLCs with minor programming, build SAP notifications, and process work orders. Initiate Management of Change requests and maintain accurate documentation of all activities. This onsite role in Midland/Odessa, Texas, requires a valid driver's license and 3+ years of automation experience. Candidates must climb ladders up to 50 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and work unscheduled overtime in harsh weather. The position supports major energy partners including Diamondback Energy, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, and Chevron.
Required Qualifications
- Current/valid driver's license
- 3+ years of relevant automation work experience
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Climb various ladders and stairs up to 50 feet in height to perform maintenance on equipment
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Work outside in harsh weather conditions
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Work alone a high percentage of the time
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Must have experience troubleshooting low voltage AC/DC power and electronics
- Must have experience using a milliamp meter with troubleshooting 4-20 ma loops
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or Trade Certificate or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Technology or foreign equivalent
- 5+ years experience in the automation field
- 1+ years of experience with communication equipment (Cell Modems, Radios, Network Switches, etc...)
- 1+ years of experience with Allen Bradley, Fisher Roc, Automation Direct, ABB, SCADAPack, Redlion (i.e., PLC's, HMI's, drives, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience in PLC programming
- Basic level of knowledge with electrical systems
- Strong Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings (i.e., P&ID's, C&E's)
