Job Summary
I&E Reliability Engineer role in oil and gas facilities. Hybrid work arrangement with local travel; positions available in Midland, TX and Houston, TX. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, at least 7 years in power, instrumentation & electrical fields with ≥3 years in maintenance reliability within oil & gas, and strong PLC/DCS systems knowledge. Responsibilities include providing engineering support to Operations, Maintenance, and Project Management; developing an Electrical and Instrumentation Reliability Program; reviewing electrical design packages (layouts, one-lines, grounding, instrument panels, cable trays); performing root-cause analysis on electrical equipment failures; applying MOC to improve safety, reliability, and quality; developing and implementing electrical integrity, reliability, and PPM programs for equipment, instrumentation, valves, and power distribution; preparing scopes of work, estimates, and schedules; defining PM strategy for electrical/instrumentation infrastructure; and leveraging knowledge of plant control systems. Willingness to travel across company assets; travel required between Midland and Houston locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in power, instrumentation & electrical fields
- at least 3 years in maintenance reliability within oil & gas facilities
- Strong experience and understanding of PLC and DCS systems
- Experience and understanding of pipeline Leak Detection Systems
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices - Root Cause Analysis Facilitation
- Working knowledge of PHA's and safety reviews, MOC, and Safety Instrumented Systems
