Job Summary
Lead and manage instrument and electrical engineering teams on multi-disciplinary projects; oversee design, calculations, quality assurance, safety, budgets, schedules; manage client relationships and develop repeat business opportunities; develop and enforce internal design guidelines, specifications, and design-control procedures; assess feasibility, materials, costs and time requirements; prepare and direct reports, plans, and construction schedules; hire, evaluate, and mentor staff; ensure adherence to HSSE standards and regulatory requirements; provide subject-matter expertise and guidance on work techniques and best practices; oversee checking of engineering drawings and calculations and maintain overall technical quality of deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- PE License in the State of Texas highly preferred
- Field & industry experience required
- Minimum of 20 years of experience preferred; will review individuals with 15+ years that have obtained a P.E. License
- Large multi-discipline project lead experience preferred
- SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), Control Valve Sizing, Meter Sizing and Relief Valve Sizing software experience
- Prior supervisory / managerial experience within an engineering environment preferred
- Working knowledge of instrument and electrical design codes (ISA, NEC, API, etc.)
