Job Summary
I&E Design Engineer role based in Chevron ENGINE in Bengaluru, responsible for instrumentation, controls, and electrical design support for brownfield and greenfield onshore oil & gas projects. Key duties include design, troubleshooting, analysis and installation of analyzers, electrical power distribution, PLC control, field instruments; developing instrumentation/control/electrical deliverables (e.g., control philosophies, Cause and Effects diagrams, P&IDs, area classifications, load analysis, electrical one-line diagrams); managing change processes for instrumentation and electrical design packages; delivering I&E construction work packages; collaborating with Operations, Maintenance and Technical functions; participating in safety reviews (HazOps, HazAn); and providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, tool enhancements, and process improvements. Requires 3+ years on-site facility experience, a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, and 5-10+ years in Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals with greenfield/brownfield project experience onshore.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 3 years minimum on site-based facility experience
- 5-10+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry experience
- Experience executing greenfield and/or brownfield projects in onshore facilities
