Job Summary
Hands-on I&C Reverse Engineer in a lab setting focusing on reverse engineering, analyzing, and modernizing critical I&C systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Perform reverse engineering of legacy I&C components, systems, and hardware; conduct detailed testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic circuits, hardware, and software. Apply expertise in safety-related electronics to support regulatory compliance and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B QA requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and qualification reports. Support replacement solutions for obsolete I&C equipment and collaborate with engineering, QA, and regulatory teams to deliver compliant and reliable modernization and life-extension projects. Preferred familiarity with NRC regulations, IEEE/IEC/EPRI standards, obsolescence management, and a PE license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with I&C systems in the commercial nuclear or other highly regulated industries
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, electronics testing, and troubleshooting in a lab setting
- Strong knowledge of safety-related electronics and Appendix B QA programs
- Proficiency in analog/digital circuit design, control systems, and embedded systems
- U.S. Citizen (must meet security and access requirements for nuclear facilities)
