Job Summary
Monitor and verify quality of electrical and instrumentation installations throughout construction by performing field inspections against project specifications, engineering drawings, the National Electrical Code, and client requirements. Collaborate with engineering consultants and project teams to resolve quality issues, review installations for workmanship and completeness, and coordinate corrective actions for identified deficiencies. Verify completion of punch list items prior to turnover, review commissioning documentation, maintain inspection reports, and participate in quality meetings to provide project status updates. Assist with continuous quality improvement initiatives while promoting a culture of safety and craftsmanship.
Required Qualifications
- Previous quality control, QA/QC, superintendent, foreman, lead technician, or project leadership experience on industrial electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical construction methods and best practices
- Instrumentation systems
- PLC and SCADA systems
- Motor control centers (MCCs)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Control panels
- Switchgear
- Process instrumentation
- Ability to interpret Electrical drawings
- Ability to interpret One-line diagrams
- Ability to interpret Control schematics
- Ability to interpret Instrument loop drawings
- Ability to interpret P&IDs
- Familiarity with NEC requirements and quality documentation
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel as future assignments require
- Monday-Friday work schedule
- 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM work hours
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment facilities
- OSHA 30 certification
