Job Summary
Nuclear Technical Instructor develops, administers and maintains training programs to support Qualification Programs at Callaway Energy Center, ensuring accreditation and compliance with National Academy for Nuclear Training standards. Responsibilities include formal classroom instruction (classroom, laboratory/simulator), exam preparation and grading, trainee performance evaluation, scheduling, and coordinating training with department personnel; supporting the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT); assisting subject matter experts and vendors in on-site/off-site training; monitoring Operating Experience for curriculum updates; maintaining documentation per procedures; participating in ongoing training to maintain qualifications; providing refueling outage support and Emergency Response Organization duties per RERP; and demonstrating strong communications, knowledge of training standards, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Two (2) or more years of relevant professional or journey level experience
- Previous training instructor experience in a National Academy for Nuclear Training accredited program preferred
- Senior Technical Instructor qualifications include five (5) or more years of related experience; degree in lieu options available
Additional Requirements
- Must establish and maintain permanent residence within sixty highway miles of the Callaway Energy Center
- Security screening required for access
