Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards, performing thorough inspections with accurate documentation. Identify mechanical and electrical issues, recommend solutions, and communicate findings clearly to the Service team. Conduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory, coordinate with the Parts Department for sourcing and warranty labeling, and assist fellow technicians to maintain shop productivity. Partner with Service Advisors to provide updates on repair timelines and recommend additional safety work. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company policies and safety standards. Ensure confidentiality with company and customer information. Full-time, 40 hours per week including Saturday rotations, reporting to the Parts & Service Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Level 4 Apprentice Technician or Red Seal Certified, or candidates who are currently eligible and actively pursuing Red Seal certification
- Previous experience as an automotive technician
- A valid BC Driver's license
- a satisfactory Driver's Abstract
- Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work in an automotive shop environment
- Indoor automotive shop with multiple service bays
- Exposure to noise (engines, air tools), fumes (exhaust, solvents), and dust
- Work performed around moving vehicles, hoists, and heavy equipment
- Temperature can vary (shops may be cooler in winter, warmer in summer despite heating/ventilation)
