Job Summary
Administer safe and effective hyperbaric oxygen therapy and assist with diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric provider. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks prior to daily operations. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities are ordered and reviewed by the hyperbaric provider. Candidates must hold a current Georgia license or certification in Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing, Emergency Medical Technology, or Hyperbaric Technology, and complete the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 days. This role is at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Training in one of the following medical professions: Respiratory Therapy or Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) or Emergency Medical Technology
- Successful completion of the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 6 months of hire
- 2 years of healthcare experience
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification through AHA
- Current Georgia license or certification in one of the following areas: CRTT - Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or EMT - Emergency Medical Tech or CHT - Certification in Hyperbaric Technology or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist
- Successful completion of the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 Days
