Job Summary
Hyper-V Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Hyper-V virtualization environments in support of a VMware-to-Hyper-V migration project. Responsibilities include building scalable Hyper-V clusters with Failover Clustering, implementing SCVMM and Windows Admin Center, configuring virtual networking, developing PowerShell scripts to automate deployment and monitoring, optimizing host performance, implementing disaster recovery strategies, and collaborating with AD and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure cluster integration. Requires 4+ years in Hyper-V/VMware, Windows Server, PowerShell automation, and enterprise networking/storage, with remote-work flexibility and up to 90% international travel. Compensation ranges from $45-$50 per hour, with benefits described; sponsorship not offered.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Hyper-V and VMware virtualization technologies
- 4+ years managing Windows Server environments
- 2+ years working with Cisco UCS platform
- Strong expertise in Failover Clustering, SCVMM, Windows Admin Center, and enterprise networking/storage
- Advanced PowerShell scripting experience
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, NPS) in global environments
- Experience implementing automation solutions for Hyper-V deployments
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
