Job Summary
Registered Dental Hygienist duties include assessing teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues; creating periodontal treatment plans; removing deposits and stains; performing prophylaxis and scaling/root planing; student-level radiographic photography; in-office whitening; applying fluoride and sealants; patient education on oral hygiene and home care; advising on re-care intervals; and performing additional duties as allowed under Florida state law. Must maintain licensure in good standing, hold an RDH (associates or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene), possess Level 2 Florida background screening, and current BLS/CPR certification; role requires collaboration with the dentist as part of the dental team and adherence to HB 531 requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing in Florida
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification
- Must be willing to partner with the dentist and work as part of the dental team
- Background screening required (Level 2 AHCA)
- Florida HB 531 compliance
