Job Summary
Provide dental hygiene treatment to patients, including cleaning teeth, scaling, root planning, and selective polishing; take radiographs as prescribed by the dentist; review patient health and dental history forms; apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants; maintain patient records and treatment rooms per OSHA regulations; educate patients on oral hygiene and nutrition; review daily schedule with the patient care coordinator and coordinate with dentists to create treatment plans; maintain supply inventory and ensure cleanliness and sterilization; strong communication and organizational skills to build relationships with patients and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure to practice Dental Hygiene, and meet all applicable state requirements.
- Must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
