Job Summary
Examine patients' teeth and gums to identify oral health issues, then clean teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains. Administer local anesthesia, apply cavity-preventive agents like fluoride and sealants, and take dental X-rays to diagnose problems. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide advice on diet and lifestyle choices. Maintain detailed patient records and keep a clean, sterile work environment. Work 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with OHASP licensure required.
Required Qualifications
- OHASP licensure
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school
- Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
- Passed the National Boards
- Passed the Northeast Regional Boards
- Certified in CPR
- Robust communication skills
- Ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients
- Strong manual dexterity
- Six months of relevant experience
