Job Summary
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Port Charlotte, FL is needed to provide dental hygiene services under the supervision of a dentist. Responsibilities include assessing teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues; creating periodontal treatment plans; performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and in-office whitening; placing locally administered antibiotics as needed; taking radiographic film and sensors; instructing patients on oral health practices; and contributing to treatment planning and follow-up care. Must hold Florida licensure, possess an appropriate degree in dental hygiene, and maintain BLS/CPR certification; ability to collaborate effectively within the dental team is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the state of Florida.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Must be willing to partner with the dentist and work well as a member of the total dental team.
