Job Summary
Carry out hygiene and cleaning activities across site areas, including production environments, while using chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH guidance. Operate commercial washers and dryers to manage internal laundry processes ensuring food-grade clothing standards. Complete hygiene and food safety documentation accurately and follow site Health, Safety & Environmental standards to report hazards or near misses. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and challenge unsafe or non-compliant behaviours while supporting teammates during handovers. This hands-on role maintains the highest hygiene, food safety, and quality standards at Mizkan Euro's manufacturing site in Middleton, contributing directly to site safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Trained or willing to be trained as a multi‐skilled operator
- Good communication and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of basic food safety and Health & Safety requirements
- Understanding of chemical safety and manual handling
- A positive, reliable and proactive approach to work
- A can‐do attitude and pride in doing a job well
- Willingness to learn, develop and support others
- Confidence to challenge the status quo and suggest improvements
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
