Hygiene Operative

Hygiene Operative responsible for maintaining high hygiene and housekeeping standards across the site, ensuring cleaning of facilities/equipment to ABSS standards, and safeguarding safety for staff. Key duties include adhering to daily schedules, assisting the hygiene department, notifying Hygiene Controller/Coordinator when tasks are completed, identifying risks to food safety, reporting hazards, managing deliveries of workwear, supporting waste reduction and safe waste removal, perimeter cleaning, canteen cleaning, and operating floor cleaning machines. Requires awareness of Health & Safety, COSHH and safe chemical use, PPE compliance, and contributing to a safety-first culture; ability to work as part of a team and share best practices across functions.
