Job Summary
Responsible for verifying that operations comply with hygiene and food safety standards; advises on proper food handling practices and provides in-house food hygiene training for new hires and trainees; identifies key risk areas in various food operations and takes preemptive remedial action; provides technical advice on product labeling to fulfill government requirements; verifies compliance with brand standards, audits, licensing, and codes of practice; conducts and records daily kitchen inspections, vendor inspections, and internal hygiene audits; coordinates cleaning programs and liaises with pest control; maintains documentation of hygiene and food safety standards across the operation; fosters open, collaborative relationships with employees and health authorities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
