Hygiene Assistant

Assist the hygienist with all dental hygiene procedures including taking directions from doctors and hygienists, performing patient oral evaluations, and taking, developing, and mounting accurate X-rays. Prepare patients for procedures or exams, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and handle various laboratory duties such as provisionals. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines and adhere to safety standards per OSHA and practice protocols. Requires dental assistant certification, X-ray certification, and Nitrous oxide certification preferred, along with annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training. Competitive hourly pay between $18 and $20 includes health and dental benefits, 401(k), holiday pay, and paid time off.
