Job Summary
Assist Hygienist by preparing patients, sterilizing/disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, and aiding during dental procedures. Record treatment information in patient records and expose dental X-rays while caring for sensors. Perform coronal polishing, take medical/dental histories and vital signs, assist in emergencies, provide postoperative instructions, and make follow-up calls. Instruct patients on oral hygiene and plaque control; order and monitor dental supplies; schedule appointments and reschedule as needed. Apply fluoride, place sealants, and may relocate to other Dental Depot clinics as needed. Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and Dental Depot policies; may perform additional admin/Maintenance tasks; maintain regular attendance. Must possess a Dental Assistant permit within 30 days and relevant certifications, with a valid driver’s license and insurance if operating company vehicles. Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Dental Assistant permit within 30 days of employment
- Coronal Polish Certificate
- Radiation Certificate within six months of employment
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- Motor Vehicle Record check
- Hepatitis B Vaccination Form either accepted or declined within 30 days
