Job Summary
Assist the dental hygienist by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during oral exams and teeth cleanings, taking and developing dental x-rays, maintaining sterilization of instruments and areas, educating patients on proper oral hygiene, managing patient records, scheduling and confirming appointments, and handling basic administrative tasks such as answering phones and paperwork.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Dental Hygiene Assistant or Dental Assistant
- X-ray certification may be required based on state requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Dental Assistant is a plus
