Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, assist the dental hygienist during exams and procedures (including teeth cleanings), take and develop dental x-rays, sterilize instruments, educate patients on oral hygiene, manage patient records and appointments, and perform basic front-desk tasks. Requires 1-3 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and potential state-required X-ray certification. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and patient care in a sterile clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Dental Hygiene Assistant or Dental Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Dental Assistant is a plus
- X-ray certification may be required based on state requirements
- Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with dental professionals
