Job Summary

Collaborate with hall staff to develop materials, strategies, and support social programs, while attending events and creating community development content like bulletin boards. Facilitate educational conversations with residents regarding community standards, model wellness lifestyles, and encourage student involvement through creative efforts. Maintain open communication with the Residence Hall Director on programming plans and resident concerns, complete five weekly administrative hours, and conduct monthly health and safety checks. Train and co-supervise desk staff including Resident Assistants, plan front desk meetings, and provide co-advising support for Program Board teams. Report witnessed incidents of sexual assault and other crimes as a Campus Security Authority, uphold FERPA and Title IX policies, and fulfill individual hall requirements for meetings and training.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have lived in a residence hall or other communal living experience for at least two (2) semesters by the start of employment
  • Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
  • Must be a full-time student enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) credits each semester of employment
  • Carry no more than sixteen (16) credits unless you receive prior approval from your RHD
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Must pass a Misconduct Reference Check
  • Must pass a Position of Trust with vulnerable populations check
  • Available to work the full contracted date for the entire 2026-2027 academic year
  • Experience in the Department of Housing and Residence Life as a student leader within the residence halls (Program Board, Desk Receptionist, Resident Assistant, Residence Hall Association, etc.) for 2 semesters (summers included)

  • Leadership experience (Coaching, Executive Board Position, Tutor, General Member of a group, etc.)
  • Experience educating individuals (health, wellness, academics, life skills, etc.)
  • Experience planning, developing, and/or implementing events
  • Experience completing administrative tasks
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people
