Job Summary
Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities for pole holes, anchors, trench work, and new placement projects. Manage utility line exposure, debris removal, and slot trenching while supervising Hydrovac Laborers to ensure skill development. Set up and inspect grounding and bonding procedures, perform pre and post-trip inspections, and complete required paperwork within set timelines. Requires Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement, minimum one year of related experience, and proficiency in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License
- Pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Knowledge of basic underground utilities
- Skills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safely
- Ability to use time and equipment efficiently to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mapping and Print Reading
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Mechanical ability; and knowledge of equipment and heavy vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
