Job Summary
Hydrovac Operator operates hydro excavation equipment to expose underground utilities and perform related digging, potholing, trenching, and debris removal. The role involves supervising Hydrovac Laborers, setting up grounding/bonding procedures, completing required paperwork, conducting pre/post-trip inspections and routine maintenance, and working in confined spaces. Requires knowledge of underground utilities, proficient and safe operation of heavy equipment, effective teamwork and communication, mechanical aptitude, print reading, and willingness to learn additional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement required
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks of employment
- Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen
