Operate Hydrovac trucks and related equipment safely; perform minor repairs and maintenance; assist with auxiliary equipment like backhoes or skid-steer loaders; complete required paperwork; read project plans and blueprints; conduct basic vehicle maintenance; manage work-zone safety and traffic control; comply with safety protocols and environmental regulations; demonstrate teamwork, problem solving, and strong attention to detail in construction-site environments.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years’ experience operating a Hydrovac
- Class 1 Driver’s License with Q endorsement
- Understanding of underground utilities and hydro excavation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints
- Knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual labour in various weather conditions
- Safety-conscious with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Additional Requirements
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
