Job Summary
Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities for projects including pole holes, trench work, and HDD potholing. Supervise Hydrovac Laborers to ensure skill development while performing pre and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance. Set up grounding and bonding procedures, complete required paperwork within set timelines, and handle repetitive lifting of vacuum piping connections. Requires Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement, minimum one year of related experience, and proficiency in heavy equipment operation and mapping. Valid State Driver's License and successful background checks are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License
- Pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Knowledge of basic underground utilities
- Skills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safely
- Ability to use time and equipment efficiently to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mapping and Print Reading
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Mechanical ability; and knowledge of equipment and heavy vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair
- Repetitive Lifting of Vac Piping Connections
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
