Job Summary
Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities, including potholing for HDD work, creating pole holes and anchors, and performing slot trenching. Supervise Hydrovac Laborers to ensure skill development while conducting pre and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance. Set up grounding and bonding procedures, remove debris, and complete all required paperwork within set timelines. Requires Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement, one year of related experience, and proficiency in heavy equipment operation and mapping. Valid driver's license and successful background checks are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement
- Valid State of Residence Driver's License
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training
- Knowledge of basic underground utilities
- Skills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safely
- Ability to use time and equipment efficiently to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mapping and Print Reading
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Mechanical ability
- Knowledge of equipment and heavy vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
