Job Summary
Operate hydro test and pneumatic testing equipment safely while maintaining all gear to ensure safe operating conditions. Maintain appropriate paperwork relating to testing practices and repair pressure vessels using necessary welding certifications when requested. Read blueprints, interpret bills of material, and communicate effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Work 100% of the time indoors with occasional outdoor exposure in areas with temperature variations, noise, dust, and fumes. Occasionally work in wet environments while performing frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with one year of trades training and at least one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience
- Hold necessary welding certifications, as required to repair pressure vessels
- Must have a basic understanding of computers
- Must have reading, writing and simple math skills
- Must be able to read blue prints
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as bills of material, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions
- Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness
- Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must be able to read blue prints

Desired Qualifications
- Material handling – operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment
