Job Summary
Junior Hydrogeologist role supporting groundwater investigations, water management, and impact assessments for mine sites in Australia and abroad. Responsibilities include field work planning, liaising with subcontractors, drilling rig supervision, lithological logging, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, developing health and safety documentation, contributing to analyses, visualizations, and site models, preparing technical documentation and client/regulator reports, data compilation/interpretation, collaborating with senior hydrogeologists, working independently and in teams, and maintaining SHEQ compliance while building client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or a related geoscience discipline
- 1+ years’ experience in hydrogeology or related field
- Unrestricted driver’s license (required)
- Ability to travel away from home office location for up to 14-days at a time
- Ability to work in remote outdoor locations (adverse weather)
- Field experience including drilling crews, lithological logging, groundwater data collection (desirable)
- Experience using GIS or similar tools to visualise data (desirable)
- Competent technical reporting and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
