Job Summary
Conduct hydrogeological technical input for resource development projects, including groundwater data analysis, report writing, and contaminant transport assessments. Design and implement groundwater programs to support remedial planning, while developing conceptual and numerical models using tools like MODFLOW and FEFLOW. Execute fieldwork programs involving groundwater sampling, borehole drilling supervision, tracer studies, and pump tests, operating specialized monitoring equipment. Integrate groundwater inputs into multidisciplinary project goals and maintain environmental health and worker safety standards. Requires a post-graduate degree in hydrogeology, professional designation, and 1-3 years of experience in consulting or mining. Based in Vancouver, Saskatoon, Whitehorse, or remote locations with full-time permanent status.
Required Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree in Geoscience or Engineering, with a focus on Hydrogeology, or a related field
- P.Geo or P.Eng designation, or ability to obtain professional designation within 1 year
- 1-3 years of related work experience in consulting or mining industry, with demonstrable academic or job experience in hydrogeologic data collection and analysis
- Willingness to travel and participate in field programs in remote locations throughout BC and Yukon
