Job Summary
Lead hydrogeology and groundwater RESOURCE management tasks across California with emphasis on Northern CA and Central Valley, including SGMA planning/support, groundwater remediation coordination, data interpretation, and development of hydrogeologic models; manage field investigations, prepare technical proposals/reports, and supervise junior staff while collaborating with project managers and regulators; requires graduate degree (or professional licensure) and 6–12 years of environmental/water-resource consulting experience; in-office collaboration with at least 50% on-site time in Sacramento or Oakland; strong skills in data interpretation, modeling, field operations, and report writing; ArcGIS/SQI/Access tools and SGMA experience preferred; annualized compensation ranges from $108k to $128k with potential bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in hydrology, geology, civil engineering, or environmental engineering OR Professional registration (P.G. or P.E.)
- Six to 12 years of experience in environmental and water resource consulting
- Understanding of SGMA regulatory requirements
- Task or project management experience
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with standard analytical approaches and tools
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and ability to present technical information in group/meeting settings to peers and clients
- Team-oriented and experienced with delegating work to staff and reviewing staff deliverables
- Interest in engaging in professional organizations, including presenting at conferences
