Hydro Ottawa | Manager, Distribution Engineering & Asset Information

Lead a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, engineers, and specialists to drive near-to-mid-term engineering performance, customer connection execution, and foundational data integrity for Hydro Ottawa's distribution system. Govern GIS data standards, record-management frameworks, and network connectivity models while spearheading Connection Impact Assessments, load assessments, and localized capacity evaluations for DER integration. Translate day-to-day system dynamics into validated baseline models for strategic investment plans and guide technical staff through performance analysis and root-cause investigations. Manage the department's annual operational and maintenance budget, prioritize capital projects using the corporate Value Framework, and mentor Engineer Interns to secure the talent pipeline. Act as the primary technical liaison for external developers and contractors, aligning interconnection timelines with capacity limits. Participate in Business Continuity, On-Call, and Emergency Response programs, delivering technical presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders. This management role supports Hydro Ottawa's transition to green power and long-term grid resilience.
