Job Summary
Lead a team of supervisors and engineers to establish technical governance, optimize workload distribution, and drive a safe, high-performing engineering culture. Define and enforce robust engineering standards while balancing system design safety with long-term asset lifecycle analysis. Strategically develop and defend Asset Management Plans, oversee equipment approvals, and navigate complex regulatory frameworks for Distribution System Plans and rate applications. Direct advanced asset health indexing, root-cause failure investigations, and capital project scoping to prioritize high-risk assets. Serve as the primary subject matter authority during industry consultations, policy working groups, and formal regulatory reviews with bodies such as the Ontario Energy Board. Formulate comprehensive presentations for executive decision-makers and stakeholders while championing the Engineering Development Program to guide technical progression of Engineer Interns. Actively participate in the Business Continuity Plan, On-Call programs, and the Electricity Emergency Response Program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
- English essential, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an electric utility engineering environment considered an asset
- Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management considered an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
