Hydraulic Technician

Job Summary
Install, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems on aerial lift units by reading engineering drawings and schematics; fabricate and install mounting hardware for hydraulic components; assemble and install hydraulic hoses with proper fittings, conduct system start-up, pressure testing, and flow verification; set relief valves and flow rates; troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic issues during installation and testing; install related electrical components; maintain documentation; support process improvements; maintain a clean, safe work area; assist with equipment maintenance and field-service issues; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; CDL Class B license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of experience in hydraulic system installation or equivalent technical training
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
- General mechanical capability and strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools, both electric and pneumatic
- Experience operating overhead cranes, jacks, and forklifts
- Comfortable working in and around large truck chassis; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and crawl under equipment
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed
- Preferred: CDL Class B license or ability to obtain one
