Hydraulic Technician

Job Summary
Install and test hydraulic systems for aerial lift units by reading schematics and engineering drawings, fabricating mounting hardware, assembling hydraulic hoses, and conducting start-up procedures. Perform pressure testing and flow verification, set relief valves and flow rates, troubleshoot hydraulic issues, and document results. Requires reading engineering drawings, manual dexterity with hand and power tools, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and preference for CDL Class B. Ensure compliance with specifications and safety requirements, and maintain accurate installation logs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of experience in hydraulic system installation or equivalent technical training
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
- General mechanical capability and strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools, both electric and pneumatic
- Experience operating overhead cranes, jacks, and forklifts
- Comfortable working in and around large truck chassis; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and crawl under equipment
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed
- Preferred: CDL Class B license or ability to obtain one
