Hydraulic Technician

Job Summary

Diagnose hydraulic faults using test equipment and system knowledge, then identify and quote components requiring repair or replacement. Breakdown, repair, and overhaul hydraulic components while installing and commissioning circuits on new and established equipment. Work unsupervised in both workshop and customer site environments, engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Travel throughout New South Wales regularly, with occasional interstate travel and extended periods away from home required. A valid driver's license is essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Fitter and Machinist or Diesel Fitter
  • Certification in Hydraulics
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout NSW and occasionally interstate, including extended periods away from home
  • A current valid driver's licence
  • Ability to understand and find faults on hydraulic circuits and components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, and motors
  • Competent to read and interpret engineering & hydraulic circuit drawings
  • Excellent interaction and communication skills
  • A customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and follow direction
  • Computer literate at an Intermediate level
  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa

Desired Qualifications

  • Good fluid power experience
  • Proven ability to be able to work unsupervised and with high-level customer-service focus
  • Certification in Hydraulics will be highly regarded
