Job Summary
Hands-on Hydraulic Technician to diagnose, disassemble, clean, and prepare hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders for repair and rebuild, and to assemble subassemblies to conform to original manufacture specifications. Responsibilities include inspecting parts for conformance, documenting work (bill of materials, stock in report, purchase requisition, and computer documentation), assembling components, mounting and testing conformance, and rebuilding hydraulic power units and related components for high-precision metal cutting machines. Requires ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals, carry out written or diagrammatic instructions, and use micrometers and calipers. PPE such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots are required; work environment is a manufacturing plant/shop with exposure to moving parts.
