Hydraulic Modeller - UK Water / Wastewater

Job Summary
Develop and deliver hydraulic modelling services across the UK, Ireland, and France by creating, verifying, and calibrating 1D and 2D models for flood risk management and sustainable infrastructure projects. Provide technical advice to clients, manage project delivery, and contribute to business development, tenders, and proposals while maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions and showcase technical capability at industry events. This role supports Egis' expansion in the UK Water sector, offering clear career progression within a global infrastructure leader focused on climate resilience and sustainable community impact.
Required Qualifications
- BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering disciplines
- 5-10 years of experience
- Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar
- Demonstrable client, contractor or consultancy experience in UK Water Sector
- Demonstrable knowledge of regulator (e.g. Environment Agency), modelling requirements and technical standards

Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing, verifying/calibrating and checking 1D and 2D hydraulic models
- Knowledge of working with integrated models (network/open channel/surface) and modelling to support DAPs
- Good understanding of hydrological assessment and analysis
- Flood risk modelling, assessments and mapping
- Interest in and knowledge of water quality models, which could include physio-chemical, biological, bacterial or chemical
- Experience using standard industry software in the UK e.g. InfoWorks ICM, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT
- Knowledge of scripting / automation (e.g. Python, Ruby etc)
