Job Summary
Develop, update, calibrate, and maintain water distribution and wastewater collection system models. Perform scenario analyses, compile and review model input data from various sources, and use GIS tools to manage datasets. Apply data analysis methods to identify trends and prepare technical documentation. Collaborate with multi-discipline teams during master planning and design activities, and communicate modeling findings effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline
- EI (Engineer Intern) / EIT certification required
- Demonstrated experience with water and/or wastewater modeling software
- Working proficiency with Esri ArcGIS tools and geospatial datasets
- Strong data analysis skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Masters preferred but not required
- Very good presentation, technical writing, and public speaking skills
- Experience calibrating models using field data
- Familiarity with utility planning and operations
- Experience with model animation/visualization
- Experience with implementation of machine learning and/or AI methods to solve engineering problems
- Participation in industry organizations
- Progress toward PE licensure
