Job Summary
Hydraulic Engineer I at The Hope Group, under the engineering manager, designs, develops, and tests hydraulic systems for various applications. Plans and executes engineering tasks for project components or moderately complex standalone projects. Performs calculations and simulations to validate system performance, selects materials, and develops BOMs, technical drawings, and test plans. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, provides technical support to clients, prepares technical reports and presentations, and stays current with hydraulic technology. Manages projects to schedule, communicates potential delays, and provides on-site technical support and field supervision, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting sales and fabrication teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- Knowledge interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor is considered an asset
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
