Job Summary
Conduct design checks, perform stress and structural analysis using finite element software, and create related documentation for new products. Analyze and verify technical specifications for orders, design sub-structures and tooling for product installations, and troubleshoot drawing-related issues with manufacturing and outsourcing vendors. Collaborate with vendors to gather technical information, develop technical formulas and spreadsheets, and facilitate clear communication between designers and drafters. Assist project managers, application engineers, and purchasing managers during technical negotiations while supporting field sales efforts by evaluating design options for customer proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant engineering field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), a modern CAD system, and technical drawing creation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork in a diverse environment are required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior pump design or rotating equipment experience is a plus
