Job Summary
The Hydraulic Crane Operator at SA Recycling is responsible for safely and efficiently operating hydraulic cranes with grapple or magnet attachments to load, unload, lift, sort, and move scrap metal and other materials. Key responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-operation inspections, maintaining operational readiness, following safety protocols, and assisting in yard organization. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of experience operating relevant material handling equipment in the scrap metal or demolition industries.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 years’ experience operating a Liebherr or Sennebogen material handler (or a similar machine) in the scrap metal or demolition industries required.
- Ability to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 plus years' experience operating heavy equipment in the scrap metal or demolition industries highly desired.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
