Hybrid Service Technician I

Job Summary
Conduct service calls to troubleshoot and repair ISB machines, including ice makers and baggers, at customer locations, Reddy Ice plants, and refurbishment centers. Perform preventive maintenance SOPs such as de-scaling, sanitizing, and inspecting worn components, while completing installations, replacements, and removals. Maintain spare parts inventory on the vehicle, communicate supply needs, and ensure all tools and equipment remain in good working order. Work weekends, nights, and holidays with potential for overtime and minimal travel including overnight trips. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate power tools. Minimum 2+ years of repair/service experience in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or plumbing is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years repair/service experience in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or plumbing role
- Working knowledge of low voltage controls and/or programmable logic controllers
- Valid driver's license (operator's/Class C)
- Acceptable MVR
- High School diploma, Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Disciplines, or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Ability to work in an unfatigued state
- Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
- Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in one's short term memory
- Ability to concentrate and perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment
- Ability to cope with sudden changes in surrounding and/or emergency situations and/or alarms
- Possess fast reflexes and unimpaired coordination and ability to rapidly respond to stimuli
- Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform required functions
- Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds

- Ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations
