Job Summary
Supervise students within the classroom and throughout the building and campus during the school day. Create and deliver lesson plans aligned to state tested standards, North Carolina Standard Course of Study, and curriculum guidelines. Collect, record, and analyze academic data and performance while administering state exams and proctoring tests. Communicate academic, behavioral, and social emotional progress to families and assist administration in establishing classroom rules. Prepare materials for class activities, lead safety drills, and cover classes for co-workers when absent. Adhere to intervention plans, 504 plans, and IEPs while maintaining positive relationships with staff and the community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- NC State Licensure in content area
- current enrollment in certification program
- Knowledge of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
- Knowledge of North Carolina Testing Program in regards to End of Course Testing
- Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education
- Ability to infuse technology into curriculum
- Ability to work effectively with administration, staff, families and the community members
- Basic computer and reporting skills
